Al Sharpton on set.

Fifty years ago Americans hit a major milestone in the fight for civil rights as President Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law.

This week, civil rights leaders and politicians will come together at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas, for the Civil Rights Summit to celebrate that great milestone. Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama will speak at various events to reflect on our nation's progress over the years.

During the same week, Rev. Al Sharpton's civil rights group, National Action Network, will host its annual convention to discuss the modern day civil rights issues still facing the nation fifty years later. President Obama is scheduled to headline the four-day event.

Sharpton will mark both events by taking your questions. To ask simply join Team Rev and leave your query in the comments section of this article. As always, please remember to be respectful and follow the msnbc.com Community Rules

Now, ask away!

And for anyone interested in attending National Action Network's annual convention, it's not too late.
