At 10 p.m. ET on Friday, Sept. 19, msnbc will air the "Generation to Generation" special hosted by Lawrence O’Donnell, featuring activists from all walks of life for an in-depth discussion on how change and activism have evolved over time.

The series includes interviews with civil rights hero Rep. John Lewis, Medal of Honor recipient Col. Jack Jacobs, Hollywood’s America Ferrera, labor activist Dolores Huerta, the NBA’s first openly gay player Jason Collins, tennis champion Martin Navratilova, and others.
