Mitt Romney's campaign shifted gears Saturday to add a new eleventh hour attack line to the candidate's closing argument, going after President Obama's declaration on the stump Friday that "voting is the best revenge."

The strategy appears designed to stoke enthusiasm among conservatives, by playing on existing far-right criticisms of Obama, including the notion that he harbors race-based resentment against America.

"No, no, no. Don't boo. Vote,” Obama said after animated Ohio voters booed a mention of Romney, a line he often uses.

Then Obama added: “Voting is the best revenge."

The Romney campaign pounced on Obama's off-the-cuff remark. Later that night, Romney added a line incorporating "revenge" into his speech before his own crowd of Ohio voters in West Chester.

“Vote for revenge?” Romney said. “Let me tell you what I’d like to tell you: Vote for love of country.”

Romney has now referenced Obama's comments three times. The GOP candidate's campaign is even out with a new web ad that mashes up both candidates' stump speeches, pulling in Romney's "for love of country" line.

Paul Ryan, too is in on the last minute attack. In Marietta, Ohio Saturday morning Ryan said:

“You know, just yesterday he was asking his supporters at a rally to vote out of revenge," Ryan said to a wave of boos. "Mitt Romney and I are asking you to vote out of love of country. That's what we do in this country. We don't believe in revenge. We believe in change and hope. We actually do.”

With just three days left until Election Day, Romney is now back in Iowa where he greeted supporters with a playful knock at the state’s Twitter-happy GOP senator, Chuck Grassley, who last week tweeted:

Fred and I hit a deer on hiway 136 south of Dyersville. After I pulled fender rubbing on tire we continued to farm. Assume deer dead— ChuckGrassley (@ChuckGrassley) October 26, 2012

“Sen. Grassley, have you hit any deer lately? Those of you who watch his blog know that he bumped into a deer the other day,” Romney joked, confusing Grassley's Twitter page for a blog.

"Was it delicious?”
